new legendary schematic drop rate on oil rig is 0.024%

The new schematic drop rates suck.
not to mention, they all drop from the same chest so repeats are going to be higher.
and to make things worse
they added the old legendary schematics to the loot table.

Defs need to be looked at.

For perspective, based on the drop rate of 0.024% provided above you would have to do the oil rig on average 4167 times for one legendary schematic. That's 2083 hours of game play if you did the oil rig immediately after it respawned every time. To collect all 6 new legendary schematics accounting for repeats, it will take the average player 135,000 hours. That's 15 years of non stop playing palworld.

Just to add to it, who thought it was a great idea? I play Palworld solo and seeing these odds, just makes me not want to bother with it. No offense, but except for certain individuals, I doubt an average player wants to grind for such low odds of getting a legendary schematics. Hard Pass from me.

It needs to be changed.

Play solo or on a private server and download a mod to adjust the drop rate.

Because yes, the drop rate for legendary schematics is terrible. If you're on PC you have a way to fix it.

No. you shouldn't need a mod to fix it, this is on pocketpairs end.
also this isn't about all legendary schematics. Only the ones on the oil rig.

yeah its pretty stupid on pocket pairs end tbh. 6 schematics dropping from the same chest with such a low drop rate is dumb. drop rates should be between 1% - 3% per schematic per, boss IMO.

Well phantasy star online is an offline game with an online component. Much like palworld. But it's loot system was way, way more hard-core.

This item may be the hardest to acquire (please correct me if I'm wrong) as of the date of this comment:
Legendary Lightweight Plasteel Armour has a drop rate chance of 0.0047%
To find the odds as a 1 in n ratio its 1/0.000047 = 1 in 21,276.6 chance
Divide 21,276 by 12 (the amount of chests on the Oil Rig) and you get 1773 Oil Rig runs...
As an aside, to get the resistance rings; Ring of Dark +2 or Flame +2 requires 2000 egg hatchings each (You need to hatch 100 Alphas for a 1% chance, but Alphas only spawn as a 5% chance from an Egg so you need 20 x 100 eggs) which is quicker in a way (but more annoying as I hate hatching even with timer set to 0 lol)

Also if you're on xbox or pc, you can just save scum by deleting save data and then going from where you left off when you backed up your save on an oil rig. I did this twice and the second time I got a guided missile launcher schematic 3, lol. What I did was I made use of how often my game crashed because (well for Xbox at least) whenever you close the game to home it updates your cloud save to just before you exited the game. If you make a cloud save or you freeze and crash to home in front of the golden chest, you can go to your settings, then save data for pal wolrd, delete from console, and bam, you will be put right back to just before you opened the chest or right before you got to the chest, just make sure you do it before your game fully crashes out to home if your using crappy fps to your advantage like me, lol. Either way you get to essentially choose what your loot is.

I love to hate the folks who post about the old schems in the new box; it's SEPARATE. IF you get an old leggo schem, you still have a 0.024% chance of getting a new leggo schem. The 2 are not mutually exclusive. Confirmed already.
