Pal fixed assignment issue
im having this issue where the work stations disappear from the fixed assignment menu as well as pals assigning themselves to tasks i set them to.

an example being i am setting my anubis to work the coal mines that i have built on the top level of my base, there is PLENTY of room for her to run up there to work but after i throw her onto it, she unsets herself from it after going to sleep or going for food.

has anyone else run into this or have any way to mitigate this issue as much as possible?

I did run into this issue, found out that it was because my Jormuntide Ignis was confusing it's pathfinding while it was working in the same spot on a furnace. after I moved the Furnace it fixed the problem

Pals will automatically go and get food naturally when their hunger gets to 50%. They also will begin to slack off once their sanity gets to 50% or lower (This one is more randomized).

In general; you want to supply them with Feed Boxes so they will keep themselves fed, and Spas so they can help maintain their sanity. If either of these get low; they will become enraged and refuse to work.

As for the Fixed Assignment thing; I've found that the Assignment stands sometimes is missing the different structures. In this case, you can fix it by manually ordering a Pal to work at it. However, if the Pal immediately runs off after you place them, it's because they need something (likely food), in this case; they will return once they fix the issue. Also, keep in mind that if a Pal can't reach a structure; they will just default to whatever else is accessible. If using LARGE Pals (like Jormuntide or Jormuntide Ignis) you need a LOT of space in your base so they can move around. Because of this; Boss sized Pals are actually kinda bad to use around the base, as they almost always get stuck.

food and sanity isnt an issue here as they all have a large bed and a perpetually full food bin to eat from and ive only got three alpha pals in the base, lovander, anubis and syelene(or however you spell it) and they have plenty of space to go up and down the base as ive made sure to build two stairs next to each other and kept at least 2 block spaces free above said stairs

ive also noticed that not only do some of the buildings not show up in the menu at random, pals also not show up in the "preferential work" menu at random(although this might just be an issue in that i have a mod to allow more pals to work in the base and the menu may not be setup properly for so many pals), for now ive moved the coal mine down to the bottom floor so try and solve that specific issue....maybe the pathing isnt quite good enough to handle several levels in a base

The AI pathing does sometimes get stuck; it's a well known problem. And Pals sometimes tend to get stuck on doors and other objects. It's usually good to have areas be at least 2 or 3 Walls high, to ensure larger Pals don't get stuck. In general, if Pals just keep running around refusing to do certain jobs; go to the command station and order them to only focus on the type of job you want (Anubis for example can do Handiwork, Mining, transporting and combat. If you want them to handle one job in particular; turn off the others).

Palworld is still in early access, so one can hope this stuff will be improved over time, but sadly it is something we just have to deal with. I find when I load in, I often have to reassign my Pals most of their jobs.
