Way to get materials back from armor?

With the new armor that is resource heavy I would like to get the materials back as I find recipes for better versions. Is there a way to do that? Thanks.

No, there isn't. I do agree that there should be a machine that disassembles weapons and armor.

Same. Sad to find out it's not possible to salvage materials from old gear. Now I just need to find their feedback form and suggest it as often as possible until they make it happen ^_^

A sort of recyler machine to give back 50-75% materials would be nice. Or full return if you pay it some other resource/money to operate (like undoing Anubis Statue soul fusion).

There is no way to do this in the game as of yet.

There is a mod on Nexus that let's you turn a container into a recycling bin. You can also edit the configuration of the mod by following the creator's instructions. I often use it for basic clean up of excess items and other things around the base.

Why not? If you take down a structure, you get 100% materials back, so it would make sense to be able to recycle crafted objects into at least some amount of their original material cost.
