She makes Victor look like an absolute joke and most people think he is too hard. The only really hard thing about Victor is that ineradicable life pool. Yeah, he does significant damage. But, he's not taking you out with just a couple rotations of his moves, not unless you just stand there and eat it all to the face. Not unless you came severely under lvled.

Whatever the moonbeam death ray is called, it's kind of total bs. I'm not saying she is impossible, clearly people have beaten her. But my god, that's not a jump in difficulty. That launching into orbit comparatively.

Question, are you fighting the normal version or the hard mode version?

The normal version. I took Victor down at like lvl 43 to 46. I'm 55, and I'm just banging my head against the wall with her. My lvl 53 Wixen does the best, but I still can't get her past half health. My lvl 52 Frostallion Noct folds to her in like two seconds.

You probably need some good dragon type pals. Do you have a good Jetragon or a Jormuntide?
Selyne only takes super effective damage from dragon types.

Well, I've been using the common gatling gun. But I normaly roll with legendary assault rifle, Legendary single shot, Legendary pump action, and an epic hand gun. The gatling is seemingly the only thing I can use to put a dent her her though. It's what I used to take down Paldius and Necromus. Before the lvl cap change I didn't need anything to bring them down. Just went and did it with whatever.

It has the best damage of any weapon in the game right now.

That would help immensely.

I do have the rare rocket launcher I think.l I may try using it. I've not used it on any of the tower bosses. Basically I've only used it on Jetragon. I've not needed it for anyone else. And with Jetragon it was more about keeping him down than the damage it was doing.

If you equip the plasteel armors and use 2 defense accessories, at least 4 stronghold passives on pals then you are pretty much not going to die from her attacks. Nothing that will wipe you out instantly if you failed to dodge.

Yea, you have to kind of build your player stats a bit because Victor was easy enough to kill with some vanilla stats like 100 attack and an assault rifle with enough ammo.

Lol, I laugh because I did blow like 900 to 11,000 rounds on him. Somewhere in that neighborhood. I lot of those were missed shots.

Aside from the absurd HP pool, it's mainly the new attacks being as AOE heavy and multi staged and hitting as they are. Which is the bigger issue with her. The damage those moves do is insane.

As usual, 4 rare or legendary rocket launchers and rotate through them melts her. Then, hop on a max speed direhowl and keep blasting her and you're fine.

I think you are correct. The one I've gotten used to because other use it. but at first it felt so cheap. The Holy beam one because it shows where it's going to hit on the ground, but then it hits an even wider area after that, and it's hard to notice the ques in the heat of battle. Or the one that doesn't do a ton of damage, but it's near impossible to dodge unless she totally wiffs it, be even with the low damage, it can proc burn effect on you.

And, all of it kind of means you can't be anywhere near your pal, or your both getting hit constantly. If you stay away, there is a chance they don't get hit. Depends on where they are and where you are. I did go back with light plasteel armor and used my rocket launcher. I can now consistently get her down to half. But still. I even tried raising up some dragons I've been working on anyway, but they didn't do any better so I went back to an earlier save to save to resources. Team dragons didn't do any better than my Wixen did.

the laser seems like BS at first because while other lasers u need to be far away to dodge hers you need to be close and stay close while dodging now for her attacks, the meteor one shows where its gonna fall and its a pretty simple dodge all you gotta do is roll inside the circle, the iframes will make so you dont take damage by the shock wave, and the slashes she does you can dodge the first slash by just walking to the side and her second slash u can dodge by rolling(those were the moves that gave me the most problem)

Since she has a dark type, maybe use chillet?
Or maybe just use a full jetragon party, but i would recon chillet with a meteorite launcher, or rpg.

Direhowl, if you don't count the legendary pals, is the fastest, or maybe it's second fastest, pal in the game once he is fully condensed. Not all pals get faster with condensing, but he and and a handful of others do.

The ones that get faster, are the one's with a partner skill that is only to be ridden. If their partner skill does anything other than let you ride them, then they don't get faster with being condensed.

EDIT: People like him because he's fast and he's small. Good for dungeons, and good for dodging.
