Trouble getting Power Generators charged
Never had a problem when I played the game before. But since I came back, I can't get the power generators at my main base or my new crude oil farm base to charge up at all. I have 2 electric pals active at each base, so when one needs a break the other can take over. And yet my generators stay at 0%. I even have the electric pylons to help. Is there a bug currently? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

You need the large power generators to power the oil pumps. The regular power generators can't keep up. And preferably catch yourself an Orserk. Oil Pumps chug a lot of electricity.

The large ones are in the ancient technology tree.

The regular one used to be enough for my main base easily. They must have weakened it or something. As for the large one, I don't have the Ancient Knowledge points atm, so gotta do some farming for that. Thank you.

Do you have more buildings active at once that require electricity ? That explains it. Don't forget to build a Electric Pylon since it increases your electricity generation. Also tell your electro pal to always work on the generator rather than go do something else occasionally via the Monitoring Stand

None of my buildings need electricity. I mean no lights or anything. I just have an active electric furnace at the main base, that's the only electric that has a current job on it. And my 2 electric pals seem to always be one or the other on the generator, but it just isn't gaining power. And I have the pylon.

Are your pals sick by any chance or have low sanity? What level of electricity are they each? The electric furnace by itself shouldn't require much power and the one I have in my manufacturing base doesnt seem to have issues.

At my main base are two electric 1s. I know, not great. I moved my better electrics to the oil farm hoping to power it up, but I guess that was pointless. But honestly, when I played months ago, 1 electric 1 was enough to keep it all going smooth. I'll put my better electrics back at main base and just ignore the oil farm until I can make the big generators.

It may have been that your generator was at max capacity when you used the furnace in the past. And then its a question how long the furnace ran. So if it wasnt permanently run or not for an extended period of time I can see that this was the reason why your generator didnt run out of power in the past.

You could try to catch or breed/hatch a Beakon, Relaxaurus Lux or an Orserk dependant on your level. Orserks will also cover your entire electricity bill once you have them (especially if you breed them for output)

Is your electric furnace still running even though your generator has no charge?

If so, it is still getting electricity from the generator. That could mean your generator is bugged out and doesn't show a charge even though it does have one.

If it isn't running, that could mean the generator is bugged out completely and deconstructing and rebuilding it might help.

The furnace is running some, but not much. Like it gets a bit of power, they cook a few bars, and then it's done for awhile.

I got the large generator and the regular one. I have a Relaxaurus Lux with Electric 3, and a Beacon with Electric 2 going. And I have the pylon to help with electricity. They can't keep it running consistently. I've gotten a total of 4 crude oil with hours of them working on it. This is ridiculous. Something is very wrong.

Is it possible that being on Single Player, the crude oil base is just not doing anything at all when I am not in the area? Because that seems to be the case. It just doesn't seem to collect any oil or charge the generators at all while I am away.

Yup, it definitely seems to not be making any progress at all when I'm away doing other stuff. Kinda sucks.
Nah the clasic power generator is not weaker it is the oil rig alone that is WAY to power hungry you trully want 1 or 2 large generators for those no mater what as for the oli no it works its just slow as many players say you are better of getting it from air drops and some mobs and keep oil rig as passive slow income as bonus.

I've been trying to farm the drops as much as I can. Tried the oil rig too, and got both my flyers killed. Completely maxed out Jetdragon (condensed and pal souls) and he died fairly quickly. I have no idea what I'm suppose to do to get to the oil rig, so guess I'm stuck just slowly getting oil from drops and oil drill. And I have one of each generator working on the drill, with 4 electric pals. Still that thing sucks the power out as fast as they generate it.

To be fair i would not be surpriced this was kinda made with (hey get decent power generating pal with gold passives) mind aproach with it this especially when many ppl will also say the same get Orserk with strong passive aka breeding.
