If you do want to farm Mimog there are 3 bits of advice I can give you. Their mimicry counts as a sleep state so they have a surprisingly high capture rate before you engage them. That being said they move insanely fast if your first shot doesn't capture, or kill them then they basically are lost. Finally they look like chest when all real chests glow which is better camouflage then you might think. Most people won't register the Mimog as important because it isn't moving like a Pal, or glowing like a chest therefor it is easy to gloss over. You can counter this by searching with a Tombat's skill the more stars on the Tombat the better.
This is the best method if you are unable to farm Mimogs.
If you are able to kill high level Mimogs then do that.
Ideally you want to be doing a mix of both when you can.
