handiwork question
is a pal with handiwork 2 with remarkable craftmanship faster than handiwork 2?
is there like a list what shows the base speed of the different tiers?

Every tier is roughly twice to thrice as fast as the one before it. Basically a multiplier on the pals work speed for that suitability, so yes it stacks with passives like Artisan and Remarkable Craftmanship.

Exceptions are farming (rank doesn't make a difference afaik) and transporting (rank increases how many items can get carried at once), but to the best of my knowledge that's how it works for the others.

remarkable crafstmanship gives +75% work speed. so yes.

a handiwork 2 with RC passive is 75% faster than a handiwork 2 without any crafting passive.

As if you want to know the %, it's plenty of palworld websites around the net that list every effect of the passives with precise numbers. Personally i use Game8 but there's also palpedia and few other good ones around.

handiwork basically increases work speed by 3x every tier beyond 1.
level 1 =70 effective speed or x1
level 2 =210 effective speed or x3
level 3 =630 effective speed or x9
level 4 =1890 effective speed or x27
level 5 =5670 effective speed or x81

from here you can add in souls and work passives.
level 1 handiwork with 60% soul and the traits remarkable craftmanship (75%), artisan (50%), work slave (30%) and serious (20%) would have 196 work speed, almost rivalling a handiwork 2 pal.
level 5 would have 15,876 work speed.
Adding food on top of this like a minestrone (+40%) would boost it up to 22,226.4

This is not including work speed increases from unique passives like ribbuny's hands (+300% work speed on weapon work bench) or from research and the tool box.

anyway, suffice it to say, that the traits aren't enough to replace gaining a tier, so tiering up is still the best immediate way to gain speed. Traits should be a secondary consideration, but as shown, can be very strong.

The player, btw, with maximum investment, can only reach 10,530 work speed. This is with Dumud Chowder, 2600 base work speed, Work amulet, +1, +2 and 5 motivational leaders.

Still considerable, but a pal would still surpass this with traits.

i just re-read my question and i completely miswrote something.
my actual question was is a level 2 handi with RC faster than someone with handi at 3 ..
but thanks for all the informations

i was looking online yesterday and found NOTHING on the wiki stating anything about the difference between the stats!
Paldb.cc usually has detailed stats for... just about everything, really.

Want to know exactly how much extra loot upgrading your katress gives you or which food provides the best work speed bonus?
This site has your answer... assuming you have a rough idea what you're looking for, because it explains absolutely nothing.

Also it's basically a browsable rip of the game files so it uses the games internal names for stuff. Some interpretation may be required.

The wiki is more of a general info source really, not a good source for details on game mechanics.
There's a website called thepalprofessor.com, it has some information on this. If you go to that site it's in: Base > Work Sustainability Cheat Sheet

Worth mentioning that Gathering levels not only increase the speed of harvesting but also the quantity of the yield.

I wonder if it affects what types of farm can be interacted with? At least in previous versions pals with mining tier 1 couldn't mine natural ore nodes, only rocks and mining stations (and I've heard pals can't mine hexiolite at all currently)

So extending these limitations to farming would make total sense too, given how endgame carrots and potatoes seem to be intended to be.

planting/gathering levels at least currently do not affect what can be interacted with. Only how fast/how much you get for/from doing the job.

Mining level still influences what can be mined from natural spawning nodes - only impacts speed for the built work stations.

Hexolite can be mined by pals, but it does not have an associated work station like the other minable resources do (excluding chromite)
