I don't think it's possible. PC cannot read console files. Try use the crossplay feature and transfer pals over. Level and base setup can be done in short time.
They said PC gamepass.

In the menu for the saves, you can click on the bottom left near the delete save button, to find the file location of the save file. Copy that one, and do the same thing to the steam version, but overwrite the files with the one you just copied, it should work? but i wouldnt know, i havent done it with gamepass,
Edit. yes, it is a possibility i misread it, due to the OP not being a native english speaker as a chance. But i'm still sure "xboc pc game pass TO steam" still means they used the PC xbox gamepass app ( the OP needs to clarify this properly). but if the OP means the actual xbox console, then no. you cannot transfer them.

its not possible.

PC and Xbox saves are coded a bit different, they arnt like images you can throw on a flashdrive.

technically, there is a way to transfer a Console game saved in data from a PC To a Console, but it dosent work the other way around. sorry, or if it does,i dont know how.

I Think you misread Farquad, they want to continue their XBOX Game Save. he said XBOX Game Pass, PC And Xbox Gamepass dont have the same things on them (Palworld is one thats on both though, but i think he means XBOX Save). and Steam has it owns files.

Im pretty sure when they say xbox pc gamepass TO steam, they are referring to the xbox app on pc ( and yes. everyone im sure knows you cannot put console files on a pc, due to the different coding), but as my edit states. the op will need to clarify if that is the case then.

No, don't have to apologize.
Your answer is valid that it might not have similar file support.

Xbox pass is cloud gaming. It can play console games without PC files. Assume it is a PC version, you know Microsoft always make things complicated with their windows store or windows app. Chances are it's not the same files either. Even if OP is playing a PC version on epic launcher or GoG it can already be different. Steam might have a different log-in API, different database to use steam cloud too.

Assume OP is really lucky, everything is the same and OP did recover the save, then your answer is not wrong either. The forum is a place to gather as much info as possible and yours is still helpful. The people who should apologize are the toxic ones who will quote others and try to shame their answers. They could have write it differently "I think it's another way" but they just downright want to be in a negative tone to bring others down. Why bow and apologize to those people.
I legit only gave my opinion that it seems they said PC gamepass.. you are being the "toxic" one by name calling. And i never shamed your answer? where did you get that from?
And i did say "i am not sure, i dont use gamepass, but that COULD work"
i am not being negative. nor was i being " a narcissist" i even told the other user he is fine, as that is his opinion on the matter, and i still gave mine. he did not need to apologize, nor did i ask them to.

Xbox pass is cloud gaming. It can play console games without PC files. Files most probably saved in cloud. Assume it is a PC version, you know Microsoft always make things complicated with their windows store or windows app. Chances are it's not the same files either. Even if OP is playing a PC version on epic launcher or GoG it can already be different. Steam might have a different log-in API, different database to use steam cloud save too. All in all, the person you apologized to does not know the answer at all.

They could have write it differently "I have a different opinion" but they just downright want to be in a negative tone to bring others down. Why bow and apologize to narcissistic people. They never respect you in the first place. I did. And I say you take back that apology and save some dignity.
i DO respect his opinion, i only made a damned post saying im pretty sure they meant PC game pass, not console. you are the toxic one right now my dude by name calling, and being rude.
And as a edit. i still only stated, that i was NOT sure if it would work. and what did you do? namecall, and if my post before seemed rude? before the person apologized when they needed not? it was not meant to be rude, so for that i WILL apologize, but not to someone namecalling.
And a edit. LORD farquad, is a shrek character. and the PFP? lord farquad. please do not grasp as straws to start a fight please.
final edit. Ah,i see. it was just bait. awful.

Careful, you might get called a narcissist.
Sorry guys, I saw that you had a problem with my bad English, so I'm going to use Google now, my problem is that, I signed up for the PC Game Pass, and I started playing normally on the PC, but now I bought the game on Steam, and I would like to continue my game, do you know where I left off? I saw some videos that used a file extractor, it almost worked, the Steam game read the files and recognized the saved data, but when it was time to start the world it showed that there was a single file missing that didn't appear even when I asked to verify the integrity of the files on Steam, and besides that I tried to drag the file directly, it recognizes it and even starts, but when it loads it resets everything, I'm born without the cutscene but I'm born dead and lvl 1, I don't know what to do anymore so I came here to ask for help, I thank you both who tried to help me, I'll try to do some more fiddling, one day it will be XD
XGP-save-extractor was able to convert gamepass palworld saves to use on steam last year, i used it myself. Not sure on if it works with current patch but may be worth a try.
here's a link to it/a tutorial.
