Or you can go to your Party tab, mouse over the pal, and press R. It just drops their palsphere on the ground, though, and takes 48 hours to despawn.
In game Pals can be condensed, butchered, used for breeding, or sold. They are a resource, and no Pal is completely worthless.
In real life there is proof that as long as an animal's needs are met they life happier, and healthier lives under direct human care. If an animal lives a shorter life under human care it was due to a lack of knowledge about the animal specie's needs, or straight up negligence. Even providing them with the basic bed, food, and bathing area in a safe area is providing the pal with a better life than they would have in the wild.
Condensing pals is super important. It boosts a pals stats, their passive skill, and the final rank boosts all their Work Suitability scores by 1. As the final pal gets massively boosted it is easy to consider this merging instead of murdering the pals. This process will require 117 (1+4+16+32+64) total pals of a species for 1 final max rank result. It will end up freeing up a lot of space because you don't need to directly rank up each time. So you can limit yourself all the way down to you best pal of each species, or however you want to manage it.
If you don't want to condense then the nonlethal option is selling to any Pal merchant.
Changes active sphere on the bottom right UI
They even reward you if you let them go.
its either meat cleaver or pal extractor (no more suffering)
its better than selling them to the slave market where they can suffer more being slave LOL
