The VN is clearly a joke.
Video was posted before april first japan time
Why would a short easy to make VN prevent an SRPG spin off and stop them from continuing their biggest money making game?
Vices only lead to degradation and self destruction.
An unfortunate reality sadly.
Still, I think its better than going down that rabbit hole that only leaves you worse off, trying to claw yourself back out when you finally accept you have another problem on top of all the previous ones.
It's sad but it's a trap so many people fall into and not many find their way back out of..
By far one of the worst being drinking.
On the other hand, if this little jokey spinoff gets made, I suspect it won't be long enough to be much of a vice anyway.
It's true though, moderation is the key and the difference between indulgence and obsession.
When it comes to this particular element, curing loneliness with "adult" stuff or these strange dating game substitutes, too many unknowns involved and most studies i've seen don't give me confidence that it's a good idea to substitute a healthy real relationship, romantic or even basic social level for an artificial and ultimately fictional experience.
We often hear about "adult" stuff resulting in unrealistic expectations and poor relationship skills etc, that being just one element of a much bigger problem though.
Now we often hear about people rejecting the concepts of relationships and giving up on having families, though the reasons for doing so vary greatly.
Games like this aren't the cause.. far from it actually, but I think they are a contributing factor in some regard, at the very least they can provide an alternative that encourages further separation from what is ultimately the desire people have for companionship.
Japan for example sadly seems to be going a lot harder down this path than most countries, I dunno if you've seen much regarding these AI girlfriends but I find that sort of thing utterly soul crushing to witness.. and it's only going to get worse as time goes on I fear.
