Elemental chest bug

I cant open them. My pals will ignore it (I tried all water pals for watering chest)

Thats weird. it works perfectly fine for me. Try standing right on top of the chest before you spawn them-- no enemies around, etc. they should lock on and activate it.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it's broken beyond human understanding. I tried to look into it but well maybe some old files conflict somewhere.

Some of the chests demand a pal of a specific working level for the job type, depending on the region you're in. For example, a Dumund (watering 2) might not be able to open a watering chest in Sakurajima, but a Jormuntide (watering 4) could. That's the only thing I can think of.

I think its some kind of bug, out of 4 people on server only one could open it (we all used same pal for test). I already did report it.

I had that problem once. Someone told me to put pals away, then release them. Works every time for me.

I've been able to open any Watering chest with my (Lucky) Celeray, so I don't believe the level isn't the issue.
I think it just takes a moment for the chest to register that the proper Pal is within range and unlock.

Just stand to the side of the chest and aim at it when releasing the appropriate pal. If you stand in front you can block the pathing so even if it triggers, the pal might disengage the action.

The only issue I have had with these chests so far is that one random mob that is aggro on me so my pal will just stand there as there is no path to the enemy.

Only issue I've had is pal size being a problem. Tried to open a water chest with an alpha jormuntide and he couldn't figure out how to back up far enough to spray the chest. Use a simple croajiro and it unlocks every time.
