Question concerning the Pal Expedition Station.

After a long break, I returned to the game and noticed many changes. I discovered several interesting structures to build and decided to try placing the Pal Expedition Station. However, no matter where I aimed, it either turned red or appeared at an awkward angle when it was blue. Is there a specific way I need to place it? I attempted to position it facing a hill, in a pond, in the air, and on the edge of various surfaces, but this structure becomes an eyesore when the game finally allows me to place it. Is it just bugged?

Build it out in one of the many open areas. It's not meant to be in your main base.

The thing is massive and if there's any items on the ground, a pal in the way, or it's too close to another object it can't be placed. Simply too damned big to have in a main base where you have a lot of other things.

So you either need to dedicate an entire floor to the thing or just make a side base for it. Tends to fit in a mining or farming side base since those don't normally take a lot of room. Ranching/breeding bases are also too big if you want proper amounts of eggs/items per hour.

The problem is, you now have to build the station to upgrade your base to level 10, meaning you have to build one before you can build a second base.

Put it on the roof. It takes up massive space and is very glitchy if the ground isn't flat. They made it stupid huge for some crazy reason unknown to us normal people.

My advice is to build it for the base level up requirement, destroy it and keep it at an exclusive expedition base, even if you make another base close by just for it. If you try to fit it on your main base you'll not have enough space.

This thing is GHASTLY! Whoever designed this needs their brain examined and sent back to the drawing board. It's too big to put in a base! Especially when every pal machine is designed to be placed in the centre for the player to build around it. Not to mention the re-spawning of resources! (Especially the beautiful island I picked out.)

I've tried outside my 1st base. Went out to begin a 2nd with the materials. It won't
allow me.
Update: Managed to pass the level. Found the perfect 3rd base where I merged it into a giant rock cliff formation.
