My advice, unless you're a genius and have uber-bred and enhanced pals, is don't try and take on raid stuff straight on. The bosses, if they don't destroy your base, have timer based issues and if the helicopter has a million health AND you're trying to survive everything else at the rig... good luck. That said, you can ninja the smaller chests and jump off the side of the rig again to get blueprints for green and blue hexolite armour which is worth doing.
If somebody of you find another weapon, which will drop from Alpha Pals, please send this information here
Because it's for 4 players ? if you're 4 players you do x4 the damage done (without adding pals), can spread the damage taken/enemies focus allowing shield to regen, there is always at least 3 people able to shot the helipcopter and you get cover from you friend while hacking.
People are optimizing their character trying to do the DPS of 4 players, it will never happen.
The moment i changed the setting to 0.3 damage taken (to simulate damage spread over 4 players) and 4x damage done (which is still less than 4x players + 4x pals) the oil rigs became enjoyable and even with these setting you're not invincible (two gatling gun bearing goons can burst you down).
People should push for an option to make everything balanced for singleplayer when multiplayer is turned off instead of forcing themselves to suffer and then complaining on the internet because they can't understand they're doing group content solo.
Instead, pretty much every other new schematic (from uncommon to legendary) were added as chest loot from both old locations and the new location.
As for the Advanced Bow, the only location where the schematics for it can currently be found is unfortunately in the gold chest on the level 60 oil rig. Same with schematics for the new Plasma Cannon. And accessing the gold chest requires defeating the attack helicopter boss each time.
I found that standing on the level below the one with the chest, just peaking out from below, makes the helicopter a lot easier to hit. It hovers slightly lower, and does not really move much outside of to the left or right. Also their rockets hit the floor above almost all of the time. I have never needed to use guided rockets doing it this way. It still took a lot of rockets, but its slightly easier than doing it on the floor above.
Of course, I had to take out the anti-aircraft in the last Feybreak Island area and it was a coincidence when I was looking for giant ice eggs.
It is probably possible to find golden schematics of new equipment in the open game world and dungeons, although the chance feels like 0.08%.
Everyone is saying the new oil rig is meant for 4 players
then why is the reward 1 single chest that gives loot comparable to an expedition? lmao
I solo'd it and I don't even want that loot I got, the reward is not worth the insane difficulty that comes with it
It is frustrating to get something like the high-tech bow diagrams in green and to find that when you get something good, I have to leave the PC on for ages so that the oil pumps can pump up enough material for good weapons.
