My solution for the Lamball situation was simple enough, once I could reach the Small Settlement. I saved up, and eventually managed to buy a Lamball from the Pal merchant for around 1,500.
So now, I have a supply for wool. And thanks to finding a Flambelle, I now can get Flame Organs.
(Now I just need to find a way to get Pal Fluids so I can make a hot spring and we're in business)
That Triple Bow is pretty cool.
Though I finally just unlocked crossbow, which in my first game was a mainstay of my arsenal for ages.
And yeah, randomizer is intense, definitely keeps you on your toes and requires outside-the-box tactics and thinking.
Yeah, I'm currently considering turning off items dropping on death (I already set it to keep equipment and tools). I think the randomizer challenge alone is enough.
Right now... I seriously hate Verdash. I climbed up a tall cliff, trying to be clever. I made it to the top.. right front of a group of Verdash, who targeted me immediately. And killed me in short order.
I'm going to enjoy blending tons of them in the condenser, and taking the butcher knife to the rest.
randomiser are usually some of the first mod's for a game by the fan's. like look at the pokemon or zelda series there the perfect example of what i'm saying.
the dev just giving use the option just like that is like the bow on top of this crismiss gift of the update
i personally not gonna play it. but it do's sound like fun.
So ofc I was shocked when the moment I walked out to touch the teleporter, there was a Suzaku above me and a Shadowbeak where your first Cattiva would spawn, and they were their usual levels (30-50).
I actually teleported to different starting locations, picking ones with lower Pal density because that mad dash to get as much resources as possible before being nuked from orbit by another flier was INSANE.
And each time, inevitably, there would be some level 35-60 pal(s) or some NPC bosses, ready to kick your butt. It's amazing XD
I actually build a base in the swamp area for once, and walled that place up ASAP, because while during the day it spawns level 18-26 frogs and passive pals that flee, by night time, it's just pure level 50+, hyper-aggressive enemies, waiting for you to stick your head out.
Absolutely recommend people to play with the randomizer.
I still havent found a place to build yet. I just make temp bases to heal pals and take off again lol. Too dangerous pretty much everywhere so far. I just need to level to 15 so i can use my nightwing to scout or make a quick getaway lol
Having to contend with survivable level 10 Gobfins while catching Roobies and Ribunnies has been a lot of fun, I'm glad they've put these modes in!
Oh yeah, I thought I found one suitable area to build, but then the combat music started and 2 big pals came out of a nearby forest, straight at my base. I tried to evade, ran into 3 frost foxes who chased me further. When I finally gave them the slip and said "okay, just build up, they might despawn and be blocked if there's a base here" ...and then this BIG guy came out, level 55, and threw this shotgun blast of rocks across the entire area. Broke my cloth armor INSTANTLY, but also aggro'd 20+ pals with the attack hitting them. They started fighting, I hoped they would take him down. They got him to 50% at best, before they were down to 1-2 pals.
So I ran to my base, deconstructed everything and left before the smoke settled.
It's such a funny experience to not be in total control anymore.
Kinda like building your base near the 2nd teleporter at the start, and have the mammoth aggro on you random and flatten your base back when first starting.

I think they should fix the caves though, If a boss is 50+ it should show at the start of the cave so you don't lose your time trying to get ancient tecnology just to find a level 57 Aqua Faleris at the end. Other than that, the mode is awesome.
