chest requires kindling

I found a big red chest that says" Requires Kindling" What is that and how do I open it?

Throw a fire breathing pal at it and it opens its a new chest type.

I can't pick up pals unless I'm in my base.

There's other kinds of chests that does similar things. Watering, electricity, etc. If you don't have the required Pals, you can mark that location on your map and come back to it later.

Pals in your party, not from your base. You call the Pal out, and it can do things outside of fighting.

I have a Ragnahawk. I attacked the chest and stood there trying all kind of things. Tried to pick up the bird but couldn't.
I don't know how to do it. These chests are new to me, it's the first time I have seen one.

I have not seen one yet but i assume it will be like a mining pal when outside your base. Just unsummon it and then summon it when by the chest.

That is how I have to make my digtoise mine up all the ore when I am out and about and hopefully this will help you with your chest issue
