Ok, like we got a cool high level melee weapon, but I don't like how you attack with it. That dash and potentially miss.

totally effin useless because you can only do that one long swipe and 95% of the time you don't even hit what you're aiming at because it takes too damn long to get the animation off and by that time the pal has moved somewhere else...super super super super disappointed in it

like give us a basic attack that's like the regular sword and then make the dash slash a heavy attack. this just feels so. disappointing

There have been many Light Saber knock offs over the years. The one that has beam in the name is the Beam Saber the weapon of the various red heroes in the Mega Man franchise the most famous of which is Zero. Even when dashing isn't a direct part of the move set this character is always known for his speed. While the rest of the world thinks of the Light Saber first expect Japanese properties to think of the Beam Saber first, and incorporate a dash move as a nod to the original as it is key to separating the weapon from the Light Saber.
