Predator Cores drop from Predator Pals which spawn at set locations 33 locations, are larger, and have more damage resistance, like Alphas. Unlike Alphas, they are not marked on your map and are not guaranteed spawns. Higher level Predators will drop higher numbers of cores; I was getting 4 from the volcano island.

I recommend using one of the external map tool if you want to try to grind the 36 necessary for the extra bag space. Yes, you need 36 because each bag grants 3 slots despite the "Giant" bag being described as much larger than the "Small" bag.

OK, cool. Multiple steamers were only talking about getting predator cores on the new island and seemed to be implying that you could only get them there. Thanks
