anyone else freezing up after the update?

every 3-5 min the game freezes for 10-20 seconds then plays again only to freeze in another 3-5 min. this has never happened before. Is anyone else getting this after the update?

Yes! Mine doesn't freeze quite that often, but it is definitely within every 10 minutes or so.
Do you play with any mods? I wasn't sure if this was happening to me because I have a couple of mods that may be acting up or if it was a problem on the games side.

It seems like all mods are causing issues to one extent or another. If you are running any, and I mean any, mods I'd remove them for now if you are willing to play without them. Otherwise we will have to wait for the mod authors to update their mods.

I have a lot of waiting times, when transfering items, ordering recipies (cooking for example). Looks like it freezes all Inventories for that moment, locking the items, adding/substracting them and unlocking the inventories again. I did add a sixth CPU to my dedicated server, but as before it utilizes only five for around 50-60% each max. Server is in the same LAN, so no latency problem.

I got rid of all my mods before the update just incase they would be a problem

Hmm I remember something a long time ago that was causing a hitch but it was probably every 3-5 minutes and it was only for about a second, just enough to notice. I think it was some graphics setting but for the life of me I can't seem to recall.

Sorta wonder if the new update reintroduced it into the game tho this sounds a fair bit worse.

Welcome. This game has had this issue since release, but it seems to happen to random people. You are now one of the random people.

Before the update I'd get a sudden black screen and the computer would lock up. (No mods installed - ever). Now it still locks up off and on, but the last frame remains on screen. Progress of a sort...maybe.

It won't even launch for me. It keeps crashing the moment I try to boot the game up.

It's freezing for me too. Every MINUTE or so it freezes for 3-5 full seconds then continues. Doesn't matter what I'm currently doing.
Playing vanilla game with zero mods. Did not do this before the update.

(I do notice that no time passes during the freeze. IE: It would freeze when I was freeing a Pal from the cage and when it unfroze it would still be at the halfway mark for unlocking.)

I've just got the update downloaded. I wanted to try to locate the new island, but it crashes as soon as I pull up the world map.

after the update, i try to start the game, but only get black screen and after a few minutes "corrupted Data found" but i don't know why. palworld is unplayable for me *sigh*

Nope doesn't freeze at all.

In the Pal/Binaries/Win64 folder I deleted the mods folder itself, then all the other .dll files in that folder but not the D3D12 folder. After that I used the Verify integrity of game files. When I opened the game again it didn't lag anymore.
