Does petting your pal cure their depression status?

Well that's kind of a bummer. I feel like that should be a feature to heal your pals. Maybe have it on a cooldown to balance it out and it can slowly/slightly heal their depression.

Sadly no. As far as I can tell petting them does nothing at all mechanically. I wish it would at least restore, like, a couple of points of sanity when you pet them. Even better if they eventually make some kind of "bonding" system that will increase stats for pals you have a higher bond to.

No but i believe if you leave them in the palbox for a while there's a chance to recover from a status.
