put a chicken, cow, and bee on the ranch, setup the wheat and berry farm (berry you generally have to do in the start anyway) and all the ingredients are just automatically accumulated for you. and you can start all that well before you get a breeding farm.
how is buying them easier?? i've seen a few people say that, but i'm not sure if i'm missing something, maybe a server limitation or difference since i play singleplayer pretty much exclusively, but automatically filled chests of resources with very little setup sounds so much easier.
In the late game you can get into counterfeiting mass amounts of coins. To the tune of 100 per ingot. You can in turn make hundreds of Ingots per second with a dedicated mining base while using far fewer Pals and leaving a smaller footprint on the base itself. This is simply faster than any amount of farming, because it will always be bottlenecked by the growth speed of wheat and extra processing time it takes to convert wheat into flour.
I can understand buying wheat and berries. Passive ranching seems efficient enough though. No way I can make cakes fast enough to burn 4 4* chickens/cows/bees worth of drops. Something I want to see is an autocrafting setting. You should be able to set a facility to autocraft items once the materials are available.
Yes Please!!! :D Now that we can make Gold from Ingots it has come easier / Better to just buy some items versus making or framing them. ^_^
I have 3 of the main merchants at my Base to buy ingredients, ammunition and other supplies for everyone on if we need something right now.
Yes, This is a Great Ideal. ^_^
I don't make 10,000 cakes in an entire playthrough. Or even 1,000.
What, are you condensing every species to 4 stars?
-------
(As for NPCs, the only times I've ever seriously bought from them, is in my randomizer playthrough, as I can't reliably get Pal Fluids (haven't found Kelpsea yet, water Pals are kinda rare, and I can't easily make cakes yet)
Even ammo, I generally make my own. Set them to make bullets and shells, and I'll have them waiting for me when I return to base after an excursion (typically 200 at a time).
Actually yes, I was breeding tons of pals and condense them. In the late game, 9999 is just the basic unit for items, and the only obstacle to get all kinds of resources is that you have to collect them yourself (e.g. stone, metal, wood), because collecting them by pals is way too slow. Since now the coins are nearly free to make, the rate determine step is how fast you click. 9999 cakes just gold for several rounds. Btw, my pals all eat cakes/
In late game, if you plan on raiding, you will likely want at LEAST 15 pals with the correct passive skills, attacks passed down from breeding if applicable (which is a whole other RNG hell), and they all need to be fully condensed if you don't want to use rescue strategies, and even then you probably still do cause one could get unlucky and die. So. That's 15+ pals that need to have 80+ more pals shoved into them each, hope to God they come with both the attack you were trying to pass down plus the passives they need (maxed IV's honestly aren't THAT necessary, but it helps, so that's even more cakes), plus your element change mount who also needs mount speed passives and fully condensed up, and that's a whole lotta cakes. And that's just for one boss (unless you're just gonna Jignis them all to death, which is a valid and working strategy lmao).
That said, all of this is absolutely not required, as even Xenolord Ultra can be cheesed with a big ol' pile of legendaries you just went out and caught with a rescue pal or two, but there are people like me who are insane enough to actually WANT to do this. I have used SO MANY cakes. lol
EDIT: And THEN, when you BEAT these raid bosses and get their eggs, you wanna have a good one of them, right? MORE CAKES!
