they ignore explosive attacks as well but without a full on wall they can still run after a failed capture attempt same with the trap.
Later in the game i sit on my beakon using its attacks, it never runs away, then at 1hp i use a sphere with high %.
Both of these ways give you one shot at catching them, if you fail its most likely gone.
Ive had some get trapped by terrain but that is rare.
Then eventually I unlocked better spheres. So now when I see one I just fling a sphere at it without hitting it and catch it -most- of the time.
You can also build a hanging trap under them and it will hold them in place while you whittle them down. The problem with this though is the sphere will free them from the trap so you have to be pretty sure you're gonna catch it if you choose the trap method over the walls method.
