An underwater biome

What do you guys think about the addition of an actual sea? I would love to see them add an underwater biome one day in the future. I would also love to have a base on or underwater.

Nah, id rather see them improve the surface and stick to it. The game is not going to function well underwater :D

I think underwater stuff would be cool but I have a personal bias against underwater as i have a phobia of deep dark water. Even now, when I know there is nothing in the water that will grab me i still get that jolt of anxiety whenever I'm in the water and can't see map ground below me. It's actually the main reason I haven't done the two harder oil rigs as of yet. However is they added something like a city of Atlantis that was maybe in an air bubble or something I'd be down. Underwater aesthetics are super nice but ahhh the anxiety for me.

Outside that I do worry that the performance on lower end pcs would definitely drop. I do think they've been improving it over time but if most the water had swimming/diving spots, that be a lot of new ground and detail.

Underwater laboratory would be more what I'd like as I don't see them pulling off functioning underwater mechanics (but I suppose some basic diving would be fine too)

I'd dig it, but considering the still persisting problems the game currently has, it'd be a huuuuuge pain in the ass ^^

I've heard the next update is going to be one biome around the worldtree and that is one of the final major content updates, so big doubt on underwater anything.

Well the roadmap certainly points to a world tree biome but not that it's the last major update to the game

I highly doubt they just walk away from a massive money printer id be willing to pay for dlc and many people are too

I wouldn't hate it, but that would take awhile, considering the current state where the player can only float and everything else sinks. Water just isn't really coded to be water.

Considering they said in the same patch that the roadmap was released, the game is reaching 1.0 and they are adding in the "Ending scenario", thats a completed game.

Yeah they may make a DLC, but its not gonna be much more revolutationary than Feybreak, which is just more landscapes we are kinda already familiar with

jusr becuase a game leaves early acces doesnt mean it wont get more major updates
