killmari Ignus would be horrifying
In terms of elements?

Fenglope being Neutral/Water.
Though it has a Lux variant now, guess that would be Neutral/Electric or Electric/Water?
On second thought Water element might make it an all-terrain vehicle, so maybe not a good idea?

Grintale being Neutral/Dark.
Looks like it would wander around at night with its glowing eyes.

In terms of job levels?

Blazamut having Kindling 4.
"Flame Emperor" the best I can do is kindling 3 boss. I know Ryu has level 4 but are you really going to use it for that?

Verdash having Gathering 4.
Did you know that Gathering level affects the yield of crops? I didn't. Verdash's entry states that it causes land it runs across to become thick with vegetation.

Flopie having Transport 2.
Simply because its Partner Skill is focused on transporting items.

Fuddler having Mining 2.
Someone suggested this months back and I agree. It would be a nice little reward for diving into caves early.

Similar to Xenovader, I think Xenogard should deal extra damage to rocks, ores etc while mounted.
For current pals to type change I can think of 2 lyleen noct being dark grass. It's still a flower just dark now, no clue why it lost grass. And Bellanoir both base and libero needs to be dark ice, with the raid and her passive siren showing she deals in ice it baffles me she is just mono dark.

I don't know why Vanwyrm Cryst is the only pal that can fully benefit from Siren of the Void - it's crazy

Those are solid - also do something with Incineram Noct - I'd be cool with a different Hellfire Claw unique skill that's dark type and inflict poison, to distinguish it from Loupmoon who causes blindness

Yeah definitely needs this, variants added in updates have gotten exclusive skills to match their type. Frostallion Noct and Incineram Noct have been left behind on that.

Caprity noct - dark/grass - it's weird that this noct version loses the grass type when it still has a whole bush on its back.

Dumud - ground/water - I mean, it's a fish... (or at least an aquatic mammal) and it literally ALREADY has watering as an area of work.

Grintale - normal/dark - I mean, this creature is a clear reference to the Cheshire cat, straight out of the pages of grim fairy tales. And it also has a special habitat where it only spawns at night - for what? To just spawn and sleep?

Lyleen noct - grass/dark - She's still a... plant... ?
I'm fine with grass Pals not keeping their element for typed variants. They would require more work to convince you that they're not grass than other elements. If some dragons are not dragon element then surely some plants can get away with no grass element?

yeah the grintale not being normal dark is kina odd! i also kina agree with champ not all plants need to be plant type but i feel like they still don't change enough for them to just lose plant type for no reason at least the current pals

i do wish we had other dark ice! or a ice plant would be neat

myabe like a frozen willow tree pal thats plant ice or a cystal flower for a pal
