Palworld
Feeling lost and need a direction
To make an extremely long story short: I'm at the mid game point where there is way to much to do and it is causing basically burnout. The questions boil down to
1) how to remodel a base to prevent pals from getting stuck at the coal base north of gobfin turf?
2) how to lvl up quickly from lvl 28 to 43?
3) how to breed to a desired pal if you wanted to just breed?

I'm lvl 28 with access to 2 bases. I just recently remade the first base so it looks better and is more effecient for farms and food production. The second base is at the famous coal/ore spot above gobfin territory. I think i screwed up the layout (as i set a bunch of floors to prevent trees from spawning as much as possible, but there is a hole that i couldnt cover up and may make pals fall in), so i will have to rebuild it as well. If anyone has like a picture of how to cover the hole, or a good way to cover the base to prevent tree spawns, that would be wonder. Remodelling doesnt bother me that much. What does bother me, is that i now need good pals to populate both bases, which is where i need direction.

I found out that lamball and Nitewing can make a yakumo, the dog that can force passives to be copied onto a caught pal. But, because i dont have his saddle, it seems he doesnt pass the passives on (100 catchs and not a single one had any of his, not even his gold ones). His saddle is lvl 43 if i saw correctly. That makes me want to lvl up fast to pass traits down to the doggo to make better pals all around, but it also feels like that will take awhile, so i might as well breed instead.... which leads to the next problem: cake. Due to not having many pals with lvl 3 harvesting or planting, it takes a long time for plants to grow. I've just now started finding blue skills, so now i need to find ways to breed passives around in the meantime. I have found some amazing passives on chikapi (as i started farming for skills from lamball, but caught chikapis as well). Is there a site that makes breeding easier by making a tree created from a pal that leads to a desired pal (say chikapi to lyleen), or is it the old fashion way where i need to make a breeding line by following pairs that end up at desired pal?

Just search for Palworld Breeding Calculator. Around lv 40, the game turned into a grind of leveling pals and waiting for egg timers so I sped up both in the world settings.
1. That can be annoying. What I did was build my base above my coal mining spot with 3 wall of height just to make sure I had no issues with my pals getting to the coal mine below. Eventually I paved over the basement when I got the coal mine unlocked.

2. For leveling I would look at your paldex and start getting your 12 catches on every pal. Make sure you have a condensed vixy in your ranch for those free spheres

3. Check out a breeding calculator/chart. My favorite calculator is https://paldb.cc/en/Breed
And a link to a quick guide I made to share the breeding chart I use to make the best base pals.

This will help with breeding - https://palworld.gg/breeding-calculator

This is close to what i was looking for. i found the breeding tree was linked in the top menu so that helped out more (since it allows me to create a family tree to the pal i want)

1) makes sense, but since its purely for mining, i dont really plan to make it a permanent spot (since we can have coal and ore mines now). I was just hoping there was a way to make it look good while still having pals not mess up too much.

2) i guess i could do that, since there are some i havent caught many of. Vixy has stayed in the ranch since she gives money arrows and sphere lol, i just need to breed more so i can have 4-5 max vixys (never have to worry about lower lvl sphere again)

3) Im using the breeding tree attached to the first post so i can make a link from chikapi/lamball to lyleen. thanks though
From around level 28-30 is when you want to start increasing the XP rate in your world settings and you want to keep bumping it up every 5-6 levels. If you do not you will be stuck levelling literally for hours. Once I hit level 60 I put mine to around x12 just so I am not continuously wasting time levelling up new low-level pals.

2) mammoth boss lv 38 not far away from the resp can give you plenty xp. (also u need to capture those little almost useless pals x12).

i suggest to set xp gain to x3 or x5 otherwise it's too grindy. after lv50 TOO MUCH grindy.
You definitely don't need to bump the exp modifiers up, you can catch more than enough pals to level you up, so much so that you'll have excess capture bonuses available by level 60.

Also, If you bump up the modifiers, you'll end up in a situation where you're advancing faster than you keep up resource wise and then you'll be spending a million years in base grinding resources and that'll cause more burnout than you otherwise would have.

Personally I have the exp on .10 so I can actually enjoy my trip up through the tech tree and actually put stuff to use. Schematics I find are actually useful as it allows me access to equipment I normally wouldn't have available.
