For example, the semi auto rifle. My favored gun in the game is the single shot rifle. And it still is, but the semi auto is still a fine gun and I've used it a fair amount.
It hits signifigantly harder than say the handgun, but it's not as strong as the single shot. The overall dps potential is probably higher. However, it feels a little harder to aim with, and reloading is long. Not musket long, but long. So it's a fair, balanced trade off that depends on personal preference. For me, I like both guns, but the semi auto encouraged me to waste more ammo than the single shot does. And, in my current game I'm playing more as the tank an using the pump action shotgun. That's been pretty fun.
I guess I was meaning the higher quality versions. Like the single shot rifle 4, ect.
