Believe it or not but Nintendo doesn't own a monopoly on creature capture games.
If they did we wouldn't have plenty of others like Temtem for example.. which btw has a Nintendo Switch release, and is vastly superior to any modern pokemon title.
Pixelmon (pokemon minecraft mod) got sued and the mod developers won. If this is even less then Pixelmon in pokemon likeness, what makes you think Nintendo has a case?
they can try, Wont fly. if nintendo really wanted to start a suite, they would have already. after all, they stopped a fking birthday themed on pokemon from happening.
I don't know what you're talking about, Pixelmon got shut down by Nintendo via cease and desist. Everything I can read on it says the exact same thing.
Pixelmon literally uses the Pokemon IP, and it's not a fair use situation, so Nintendo would actually have control over it.
That being said, yes, Palworld is safe but the two scenarios are way different.
Nintendo sued, and lost
against a team of 9 people, over this
https://i0.wp.com/codakid.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/pixelmon_2.jpg
if you dont know it, it's a minecraft mod called pixelmon
it adds ever pokemon, and item from the pokemon games
for gen 1-8
and it's still available
Again I don't know why people are saying Nintendo lost a lawsuit against Pixelmon. That does not seem to be correct and I can find no information on that, Nintendo would win a lawsuit against Pixelmon because they own Pokemon.
They sent a cease and desist and it did shut down the mod. Like most hacks, it still persists anyways.
I mean there's no way Pixelmon could win such a case. They're straight up using Pokemon's IP, and it is not fair use. Given I can't find a single thing about it and how big that would be for copyright law, I feel very confident saying people are just spreading that misinformation.
