Okay I pulled up the trailer, I apologize on the Moblins and Boblokins. Those ones ARE really close, I see what you mean now. Although the Boblokin is different enough but very similar, the Moblin I had to straight up look up because it looked like it was identical (it's not, this is like the Boltsmane here where it's pretty damn close)
The body type is the only reason I think they might have looked at Latios/Latias (and yes, they could have also not looked at those two and came up with the same concept, that's not unheard of). Regardless, doesn't really matter. You can't own a body type. Why is it okay for them to take the body types of the other dragons you noted and that's not a copy but the whole jet dragon thing is automatically them ripping off Latios/Latias? And their execution of the Jet Dragon here is well well different, it's just not close at all. Like you're never confusing Jetragon with Latios or Latias, ever, whereas Boltsmane, and the Moblins and Boblokins you pointed out, you very well might mistake them for the other. And for the record, it is literally fine to look at Latios and Latias and go "I wanna do that, but my way", that's the reason copyright laws are the way they are. And Jetragon is just very obviously different.
They would need the asset to ripoff the model, almost certainly the models were made from scratch based on concept art.
Inspiration and copying is a fine line, I get that.
However, saying why would it be okay to copy other types of dragons instead of Pokémon's Latias is not a good example. You're comparing myths and legends, forever free of copyrights (They are just monsters, which applies to goblins as well, which is why goblins are fine to copy since they're universal, Bokoblins and Moblins however are NOT universal.) to a copyrighted pokémon...
By the way, you do NOT need the assets to copy something, that's dumb thinking. Otherwise, why would any artist have watermarks on their works ? You don't need what program was used, materials or anything else as long as the result is the same.
Doing something from scratch does not mean you will not infringe on copyright territory.
I can litterally tell you what changed from Latias to Jetragon, but let's not get to that as you do not see the resemblance, which I get.
The point is, I see a resemblance to Latias, and you noticed Boltsmane as well. I get that trying to avoid HEAVY inspiration from Pokémons is hard, it's just that, being the same devs as Craftopia (Same company, probably not devs though), I just hope they'll make something unique, and not copy stuff left and right with no soul.
They do have some, at least, cool designs in the trailers and I hope they'll continue this way.
It's an insult coming from redditors. It just means "You have a different opinion so I think you are a basement dweller."
"It's parody, the gameplay and story is different, and they're also based on real animals, which pokemon are based on. We also make NO claims to be pokemon and no claims to be associated with pokemon."
It's not even parody, nor would they need to rely on parody laws to back 'em up 'cause they're already legally sound from a copyright angle. (but parody would probably do it too yea)
Palworld atleast looks more unique as possible, minus ofcourse the guns. The capture balls are not exactly the same, since they capture differently in animation then what you know in pokemon.
No need to feign- its an insult. Not advice. As it implies, strongly, one never does leave there room, disconnect, or is terminally online. Which, is a rude assumption, often without evidence. No need to pretend its a nice thing to say, when its obviously said out of hatred and not out of respect or helpfulness.

Also- I agree with the people saying- these characters look like Pokemon rip offs- as, the art style looks idenitcal- the eye shapes, body shapes, colors, even the way mouths look and grins, some of these look like-- "Hey you know X pokemon, redraw them with enough difference to make them no longer copyrightable by Nintendo, but, clearly, make them that pokemon"... Basically like making a character called Bat Guy, and changing batman's logo, but all else is the same, kinda deal.
I'll tell you what- I clicked this because I thought it was a Pokemon coming to Steam, then squitned and looked closer and was like--- oh no... Those aren't pokemon.
---
Let's just say- its completely possible to make a monster catching and fighting game, without making those monsters 1-to-1 Pokemon. Inspiration is fine, but...this isn't inspiration at this level, its..,dang near tracing.
It's not anywhere near tracing. Nowhere close. If games had to follow those types of standards, there would be like 5 total games.
