Raid bosses - Palbox defence.
Just curious about other people's experiences.
When I started farming high level raid bosses (solo), I ran into a problem. And no - it's not a problem of lack of damage.
The problem is that they destroy the base (destroying the Palbox) and the fight ends, even if I still have a lot of time left on the timer.
And if there was no such problem with the regular Bellanoir, then with Libero it already a problem.

After thinking about the situation, I first decided to build the Palbox at a height, building a large staircase up - but this ended up with the raid bosses still tearing down the lower supports, and the Palbox collapses.

The last option that I use now is to cover the Palbox with high metal walls in several layers. At the same time, sometimes there are cases when the bosses manage to destroy part of the wall and almost destroy the Palbox. But nevertheless, for the most part, this works for me.

And, just curious about the experiences of other players.
When playing solo, how do YOU solve this problem? Perhaps there are more effective ways (or less resource-intensive ways) to protect the Palbox from raid bosses?

And please, just don't suggest the option of killing them faster... seriously. :depresso:

I built metal defensive walls around the half of the Palbox facing the altar.
Then put more off to the sides, dividing the base into halves, with ramps leading over the walls (so my Pals can quickly get over the walls and attack the boss), and gates that will only be closed before summoning the boss.
And of course, platforms higher up so I can quickly run up them and snipe the boss from high up.

Regular walls get smashed very quickly.
That's why Defensive Walls are needed (I assume that's what you're referring to).
When I fought Bellanoir, I also realized I need to go two layers thick on the central defensive walls, as the boss eventually broke through one of the central walls and was attacking the Palbox.

(Thankfully, it was very low on HP by then, and I barely took it down in time)
----

And yeah, if a foundation or pillar breaks, anything it supported above will auto-break as well.
It's why I put the Palbox on the ground, so it at least has a chance. Even if it's annoying to work on installing foundations around it.

Also... at least on my PC, most of that fight was a slideshow.
Turns out, 15 attackers plus me equals a lot of lag. Especially if you're dumb enough to use a meteor rocket launcher to try and stun the boss.
It took me a hot minute to even register that one of the central walls had been broken through and the boss was now attacking the Palbox.

Sounds like your last option is similar to my idea.
The more barriers it has to go through is more time you have to take down the boss.

Looks like a problem indeed... I still haven't summoned Libero but i can easyly see the issue. With bellanoir i did build wall around the palbox, but it wasn't an issue (i also did a base special for summoning, a fourth base, just for that so...).
Especially if you play on higher difficulty. Would be cool to have something that allow building in base to "level up" or to get less damages in raids.

Not sure if we can make it sturdier in the world setting... I know we can for building outside base (but it's only the damage over time) but inside base i don't see it.

i personally never had that problem on a empty base and i did do belanoir Libero (not ultra still grinding that one) in a custom hard mod world. tho it probably some side effect of me having a world whit no build decay. and i did check, damage on structure is still the same.

Then I should also clarify that I'm playing on the base "normal" settings, and the only things I've changed in the world are 120% resource drops and 130% exp gain, and the day and night length to make both a bit longer.

Yes, a separate base for summoning is definitely needed.
I remember my first experience of summoning, when I didn't know yet... and summoned Bellanoir at a regular base. It's good that it wasn't my main base, because there was almost nothing left of it. I learned this lesson quickly :meephappy:

Yes. I saw in the world settings the factor of receiving damage to buildings - but... I don't see any interest in it for myself yet.

I don't have a lot of lag... but because of these effects and the darkness falling, I often just lose sight of the boss and don't understand where I need to shoot. It's pure chaos...

Yeah... it looks like that.
