Should I use the very rare laser rifle or normal advanced bow?

The DPS for each seems like it would be similar, but the laser rifle has the advantages of the ammo being easier to craft and needing almost no skill to use. Am I wrong about the DPS, and would the bow actually be better?

I've not used the advanced bow. But the plus riffle, or laser riffle, whatever it is, it has become my main weapon. I still like single shot riffle as my fav, but it's hard to argue with the fire rate or relatively cheap ammo.

The laser rifle has pinpoint accuracy at long ranges, the gravity dropoff makes the bow a lot harder to use. (And you can buy electric organs real cheap while hexoilite quartz requires manual labor so it's easier to stock up on ammo for the laser)

You can mass breed and slaughter Celesdir for hex quarts as well.

Imagine what is more convenient for you (or whatever style you like best).
What is more convenient, under approximately equal conditions and results, is always better than what requires skills to use, in my opinion.
Choose practicality.

I would probably choose a laser rifle in this case.
