Lily fight level
I've been having some trouble fighting Lily. i'm not asking for help or blaming the game, I'm just curious. Right now I'm level 30, where as the ore mine is unlocked at level 24.

I'm on custom difficulty with no modifiers to combat, using the handgun (ran out of ammo after roughly 124 shots)metal armor, and I've admittedly neglected my team and player attack stat, though I do have a level 28 Katress who knows a fire move.

With the ore mine being unlocked at level 24 you'd think I could handle it, but I can't.

Is my lack of proper min-maxing hindering me now, or does the community generally think that the Lily fight is harder than it should be for level 24.

Edit: Beat her

It's just about power and some attack moves knowledge. I got her down at lvl 25 by mounting a Dazemu (yeah it's weak to grass attacks), powered it up to lvl 50 for rockburst via manuals, and feed it ignis blast and flame nado to use between rockburst cooldown. Rockburst, when used right at the target, deal absolute crap tons of damage thanks to all the high damage boulders hitting the same target. It's my go-to alpha killer ability up until I can mount shadowbeak.

inflict burn and poison with the appropriate crossbows/grenades and bring something that boosts your attack.
You typically have to prepare in some fashion to beat bosses at the recommended level
10, 25, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60
otherwise just overlevel them.

Make sure your pals know appropriate moves that have quick cool down, so the basic attacks work well here. Also make sure they don't have attack reducing passives. +20% attack for yourself and your pal should be good at level 25 and with an appropriately levelled weapon should be enough to win.

It feels like a lot of content in this game is geared around a group / party on normal settings. The above tips are fantastic tactics, I'm stealing the rockburst bit ty again Poked, but IMO I'd say all the towers are a bit whack for solo play, particularly if you don't have great game-sense on what you should be doing.

If I'm ever online with someone at the time, I try begging them to help me so I don't have to stress over maximizing my damage potential. I already know I'll win, I just want my farms up and running ASAP.

Also as a BIG katress fan, you could breed for Katress Ignis and get fire stab (20% damage to fire moves IIRC), but the above suggestions would be far better and less time consuming.

Galeclaw glider and cinnamoth with some fire pals will help you
UrbanNoodles 21 de jan. às 1:02
I killed her with foxparks at about 32. Just keep your distance and swap your pal out when she is about to land a big hit. Go grab a Galeclaw and make the gloves so you can use him as a boosted glider for higher mobility if you haven't.

I already had Galeclaw with Galeclaw gloves
use type advantage and use fire pal at her lvl but if u want to minmax just go goblin as it is very easy to build it then use compound bow for best burst dmg per headshot at around lvl 32

Question about the fight. Did they improve their attacks?
An example from my fight with her, was I was riding around on Direhowl, and shooting at her. When Lyleen went to use her melee attack, I was able to run around and prevent her from using it. It was a good strategy, but she never exited her attack, so she was kind of stuck trying to melee. To be fair, I waited for her to attack, so she could actually fight normally.

If fire move availability is a problem you might wanna go on an exploration tour to find skill fruits (I always mark every skill tree I find on the map so I can check if they've regrown regularly), since any pal can learn any move you could make your team more effective this way.

Also if you're around Lv.30 you should be able to go to the volcano island (the southern beach has everyone be in about that range at least) and catch some fire types / pick up some fire eggs. It's the easiest place to stock up on sulphur as well if you're low on gunpowder ingredients.

They do switch their attacks if they cannot perform it or the conditions are not met after a certain amount of time. You probably stayed in the sweet spot to not start the timer for that one though. So, eh, congratulations on (accidentally) finding a new trick I guess.

Ah, cool, thanks. It was a while ago.
Is this AI writing this post? The pal has a fire move!

This was the only thing that I disliked about this update, it would be better to unlock the iron mine from the new research laboratory.

I beat Lily but I haven't managed to beat any other tower boss after, even though I'm level 50 with pals at matching level and fully geared up in stuff for my level. I 100% think it's because these parts of the game are geared towards multiplayer, because on the second game where it's me and my husband we took Marcus down even though we were mid 40s in level. Same with the raid bosses too, they are parts of the game that are definitely not balanced for single player play. I really hope Pocket Pair addresses this at some point and adds a difficulty level for solo specifically that balances these game elements.
