Feybreak changes broke ranch stacking?

I haven't been able to build ranches atop one another since the new update; the donut ring method no longer works, and even if building full floors underneath I'm seeing a "must be placed on ground" message.

If anyone has a new method I'd love to see it.

One other annoyance is not being able to throw summon spheres like grenades anymore, so you can't flank an enemy with a pal and it's easier to wind up hitting them by accident with an arrow (Especially when hunting with beakon or faleris). Tossing a digtoise directly at an ore node across a cave also becomes unavailable with this patch.

I found a video that shows ranch stacking works if you use the shipping containers to separate levels. Unfortunately, it's tedious and heavy (need 11 containers per level, and breaking them down will overload your weight), but it works and actually let me build four ranches in the height of three walls.
