Genuinely stupidly scaled
waited to be lvl 45 to do Bellanoir, not spoiling myself or anything.

most if not all my pals at the base are 40+

Endup having a supposed lvl 30 powerfull pal wiping it all with 300k hp.

Good stuff, really good stuff. Alt+f4 and that stupid ♥♥♥♥♥ is probably still around ruinning my work.

And they give the altar at rank 33. That's totally absurd to ruin someone's that has been WORKING and PACING HIMSELF to take levels before doing it INTENDLY just to have something like that to spawn right at the base.

Absolutely absurd.

Thanks, I really feel like I've lost my time playing this game!

Yeah, the level indicators on some of the new content are way off. I've been killed by predator pals many levels below me, and Belllanoir isn't even remotely level 30, maybe 40 or 45.

This is why you don't spawn raid bosses in the middle of your real bases, and why the game gives you a warning about potential collateral damage.

Learn. Rebuild. Try again, this time in a separate, empty base.

This is all true but the game doesn't need to completely lie about the level of Bellanoir.

I also kind of resent having to waste a base slot on the summoning altar.

Hey at least it's a little better than an accidental left click while holding a rocket launcher back then. Take your time. Cool off and come back to rebuild once you're ready.
It does mention that what you intend to summon is an exceptionally powerful and dangerous Pal: even the "weakest" of the four base ones is a threat.

Spoilers for the last of the four below

Xenolord, the final of the Raid Pals, summons Xenovaders and Xenogards, meaning that you aren't fighting just one Pal: you've got a small army to deal with, too

Game: Are you sure you want to summon this powerful pal here where it might damage your buildings?
You: Yes
Also you: OH MY GOD IT'S BREAKING MY STUFF!

its a raid boss. like an rampaging, alpha, or a shiny pal its going to be many times stronger than the level would suggest.

we did the same thing with a lvl50 raid summon and it completely erased 75% of the base, every broken thing dropped as items on the ground so i just replaced all pals in the box with a bunch of transporters and rebuilt everything in a few minutes

we (2 people) were able to do (lvl30 bella) at lvl50 with a decently strong pal some good traits + upgrades and the best gear available at lvl50

Its a raid content and you need to do preparations before you do them.
Beside you can't use a main base and worker pals and hope that they deal with raid boss.
For raid you use different base and strong pals. Bel not that hard, but you can't expect to bit her with normal 30-35 level pals. Just go and catch a good bunch of good pals at sanctuary and use them. You don't really need any perfection or breeding to deal with Bel anyway.
Same for Bel libero, only thing you need here is a bunch of level 55 pals.
Ryu and Xenolord is different story and you need to max out perfect or close to perfect pals for those two, but this is endgame content, so this is not easiest part.
You now know it's a Dark Pal there are 3 Alpha Pals around level 30 that are Dragon element near each other on the map, you figure the rest out.
