Swift passive skill
I've caught or hatched well over 2000 pals so far, and not a single one of them has the Swift passive skill.
Is this the rarest skill in the game, or am I just really, really, really unlucky?

Unlucky. I went and caught about 500 lamballs, cativas and chikipis, a few had swift, vampiric, eternal engine, and diamond body.

Yes. I had the same issue. Easily took several thousand pals before finally finding it on a random gobfin (was collecting hundreds of them to condense).
Same, i caught several Demon Gods, a Diamond Body, a Vampiric, Remarkable Craftsmanship, and a pair of Mastery of Fasting before i saw a single Swift on a cow of all things.

its based when you catch them ie time. Catch at wrong nano second or breeding finishes at wrong time you do not get it as the RNG is based on your clock.

If it helps, I've yet to get ANY of the new tier 4 traits. Except for Lucky, because ones with it are obvious, and Legend which is fixed to specific Pals. The only reason I have Swift at all is because I got it on old pals captured and bred last year, when it was still a tier 3 trait and tier 4 didn't exist.

Frankly I'm starting to doubt the youtube evidence of them that I've seen.
Was starting a new world with my gf once the feybreak update released. And the first few days I also got no pal with Swift. Then at some point, when breeding for a 4-passive shadowbeak, I suddenly had it on one of those shadowbeaks.

They moved it up tier-wise so therefore it is now much rarer. But it exists. Would just wish there would be some alpha pal that has fixed traits so you can always rely on that for specific passives but oh well.
Yeah your best option anymore it to just catch 1000s of Chikipi and then breed those traits down to a Yakumo then use its passive to pass that onto any new pals you catch. OH right or you can look for Dr Brawn and use his risky surgery, that's how i got my Remarkable Craftsmanship. Just be sure to use it on pals you don't care about since there's only a 33% chance he improves your pal, the other 2 options will remove good traits for bad ones and lower all stats by 15 or 30 IVs

If your single player you can save scum Dr Brawn by having auto save say set to like 10 mins and if you do not get what you want tell your OS to close pal world to avoid saving ie kill the app.

You can also catch him, exit to main menu before you do it then use the restore backup option to roll back and try again if you don't get something you want.
