GLOBAL PALBOX: observations about the new feature
I'm sure they will give us a way to fix this issue soon, but for anyone transferring Pals right now:

Pals that are left locked cannot be deleted from your Global Palbox. They are restricted from deletion and are inaccessible to unlock.
_____________________

For anyone simply exploring the new feature:

1) your original Pal remains unless you summon it from the Global Palbox at which point it deletes the original and becomes a copy

2) human 'Pals' cannot enter the Global Palbox

3) Butchering a reconstructed Pal seems pointless at the moment as it only gives a single 'Scrapped Tissue Sample' with 'no purpose and can only be sold or discarded' for a value of 1G

4) reconstructed Pals CAN be placed on the Flea Market (not sure what happens if someone buys it or if you attempt to reconstruct another after it sells)

5) Pals keep their stars, souls, and max level between worlds, though scale as normal per player level cap.

6) 'You cannot reset the Pal Souls offered to Pals reconstructed from genetic data.' verbatim.

I don't currently have a solo world with a Pal Essence Condenser, so I can't check if you likewise cannot condense reconstructed Pals. I have yet to discover if 'twins' can both go into the Global Palbox, though I swear I had identical gender, passives (in correct order), and potentials Wixen Noct I had set aside to test this... but I'm having trouble locating them so maybe it got vaporized in the update; figure it would be worth testing since they have a restriction of only 1 of each unique Pal ID into and out of the Global Palbox. Also, sadly my server host is asleep and cannot allow reconstructed Pals on the main server where I have a captured Dr. Brawn, but I plan on testing if the Pal ID is still the same after an experimental surgery... If anyone has these answers, please let me know <3

1) you can delete them, there's a button (and it works) on the global palbox
2) it's not supposed to be used with humans, for now
3) it is on purpose. Butchering "clones" (since this is exactly that, you clone pals) is an exploit and they want to avoid it.

6. Yes ofc you can't, that would be an exploit.

Yeah, no sh*t most of this is exploit loopholes, That's the point of limit testing an early access game. The whole point of having a forum in the first place is to share info like this for anyone who is curious. Some server hosts may want to understand more of how this feature works before permitting it. This hopefully helps those people.

Games always have bugs. Also, I know there is a delete button. Go lock a Pal before putting it in the Global Palbox and tell me how well you can get rid of it. I'm saving you the headache of discovering that as of the launch of this patch there is no way to unlock it within the Global Palbox and it restricts the selection of a locked Pals when using the delete button.

Pal Essence Condenser was first thing I tested. You can upgrade a global pal but not use it as material.

Global pals have no breeding restrictions btw, saw no info on it so just putting it here.
Regular + global or global + global = regular

Didn't have any problems removing the favourite "lock" from a Pal that I threw in there to test it out in order to delete it.
As Sam mentioned, the update also included a new "favourite categorization" system where in favourited (locked) Pals are categorised into one out of three favourite groups.

So instead of simply favouriting and unfavouriting a Pal, it is now favourite 1, favourite 2, favourite 3 and unfavourite.
(And now I think the word "favourite" has lost all meaning)
