You can get in bigger damage with vine and electric pals (vine makes fire moves do double damage also)
Electric can stun her for quite a bit and give your pals more room to damage her.
Alternatively if you don't want to breed pals you have two more options, get help from a friend or gobfin elemental mount party with shotguns or something else that is very strong.
Don't do 5 gobfin, do 4 gobfin with vanguard and stronghold + 2 other passives and an elemental mount. That means chillet for first form, pyrin or something else for 2nd form.
and how jormuntide is rank S on the combat tier list while my 10+ alpha jormun lv55 gets destroyed by the boss
that's what i did, put in 30+ lv55 pals which are S-A tier of combat, still couldn't finish the boss off
You probably did the level 30 basic Bellanoir. The level 50 one would just nuke those pals. I tried that myself
You don't need good passives on them, the attack is to boost yourself. Really vanguard just helps. The rest is just padding.
It adds up. Go for headshots. Unload on her fire bottom and her head when she gets stunned. You should be winning. If you really aren't doing enough damage, reset your stats with a lovander drink and put it all into attack.
Libero is a dark type, which is disadvantage against dragon like jormunt but it's funny she destroys them
You don't even have to use that same pal to make a good version of it. You just need something with the passive that can have the resulting pal from the pair that makes the child.
You can just catch something with vanguard and you pretty much will have it since it's easy to pass down.

It's somewhat random during breeding as well, and can be anything from a few eggs to get a desired trait combination (I still hate the cryolinx I accidentally hatched with four perfect passives before I knew what breeding a perfect helzephyr with a frostallion would give me) to days or even weeks of RNG rolls on the hatches depending on your luck for a four-passive pal with what you want on it.
To answer your question, though: Yes...ish. There's a pal called yakumo whose passive gives pals a chance to spawn with the same passives the yakumo has (excluding lucky/legend/other exclusive passives). Catch a couple, breed until you get serenity/ferocious/musclehead on one, then max condense that and go hunt what you want the passives on with it out and following you. In my experience, it's around a 20% chance to get two passives (I don't have serenity on mine), so while it's still grindy, it's nowhere near as bad when you're farming, say, frostallion or jetragon.
after days of farming oil rig, i finally got the legendary 14k atk rocket launcher, tried to fight blazmut ryu, he oneshot 30 lv 55 alpha pals, my head shot did only 4k and he had like 550k HP, he killed me after 3 or 4 attacks it's so stupid.
