Nintendo deserves to win the lawsuit
I don't think Pokémon clones per se are a problem, but I thought from the start that Palworld blatantly copies and rips of the designs of countless Pokémon.

I think Nintendo is totally in their right to sue and deserves to win.

The only thing Nintendo deserves is it should stop be an overprotective mom of GF. By doing so, GF could learn the necessary lessons from player community and finally grow up.

Make a good "wholesome" monster catch game.

And also, f Nintendo! They're fed enough, your opinion is bad.:spiffo::piewpiew:
Umm..... You know kind a forget pokemon censored thing on anime/TCG card things right. Pretty much pokemon have to be kid friendly things on cartoon network thing.

Any way... Its kind a unreasonable for them to sue Palworld. Right now I just waiting to see how this turn out.

Then nintendo should be sued for ripping off dragon quest designs, and also , patenting a game mechanic, should be forbidden. Imagine if this would be the norm? How long would it take before companies try to monopolize game mechanics through patents.... What would games look like then? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZXKKbSCA34

Just bumping this post.

There are plenty of people like that in the games as well. The rival from gsc treats his pokemon like living weapons ( and every trainer as just another obstacle). Every evil team is implied to be abusive to pokemon, but only team plasma ( the one that lies about being pokemon activists) were shown actually beating a pokemon.

Interesting. Sounds like the biggest difference between Palworld and Pokemon in this regard then is not the whether/how villainy exists in the worlds, but rather Palworld's allowing the player to play the part of the villian...

if nintendo wants to extinguish that fire they need to actually make a decent game for once
bc the recent ones are kinda mid (except pokemon legends arceus in my opinion)

the truth is that Nintendo does not have a leg to stand on. Literally they can't own the patents to VIDEO GAME MECHANICS any more then Wizards of the Coast owning the patents to every video game ever made including the ones made by Nintendo.

Why because there is not a game made in the last 50 years that was not inspired by Dungeons and Dragons mechanics in some shape or form.

Remember this is the second time a lawsuit has been discussed the first was copywrite but there was not a leg to stand on.

This time again they do not have a leg to stand on and this was already decided in America.

The courts have already dismissed this case because there are zero grounds.

People keep bringing up that I defend Nintendo just because I am like an ultra Nintendo fan that excuses everything they do or something, which I am not. If it was Square Enix, Capcom etc or some other company against Pocketpair, I would feel the same way. I just know Pokémon and the designs well from my childhood which is not the case for all games obviously.

It could also be an indie developer of course, I also did not approve at all of a game copying Stardew Valley's pixel style in a too close way.

Since becoming an adult, I bought and played less and less new Nintendo games and have not bought anything Nintendo in close to 4 to 5 years.
Comments like that just feel like you all did not take any deeper look into this than reading the title.
