I'll buy Astro Bot when it comes out on PC because it looks like a great game. That video is like a showcase of all the favorite stuff I liked about Nintendo being done again but better.

ha, yes. Cheeer for Sony -

"Sony has a total of 95533 patents globally, out of which 35166 have been granted. Of these 95533 patents, more than 78% patents are active. United States of America is where Sony has filed the maximum number of patents, followed by Japan and China and it also seems reasonable as the biggest market for Sony is USA & Japan." https://insights.greyb.com/sony-patents/

And it is not like Sony has ever sued others for patent infringment. *eye roll*

+1 Backing Sony is a pretty odd take. :wheelchairicon:

Don't worry, Trump will become president, expire, and President Vance (barf) will endorse Mr. Beast again

This is cringe incarnate. I felt embarrassed after reading all of... that.

Yes, let's forget that Sony also does electronics, consoles and other physical goods that do deserve to be patented.

So does Ninteno, who holds less than 10% of the amount of patents that Sony does (if iremember correctly - 8000 global patents, and about 3000 of them Japanese).

Shall we also forget that Sony keeps suing peoplee for patent breach? or are they allowed to, but not anyone else?

Bonus question - there are something that deserves to be patented and something that does not? What are the criteria of what can and cannot be patended? Where do you draw the line?

I am not saying Nintendo in any shape or form is a good guy here, but do you know what "double standards" mean?

You'll lead a much happier life once you can understand a little thing called nuance. And thank you for confirming that you are arguing in bad faith. I have already answered your bonus question in other threads, but here you are asking them of me again. Good bye.

No thanks. If Astrobot comes to PC WITHOUT a mandatory PSN login I'll consider it.

I don't intend to give Sony any more money until they abandon this crusade to force PSN logins on everyone. If a game needs it for multiplayer features that's one thing, but single player games should not require a PSN login because it provides no benefit to the customer.
Honestly, never gonna own a PS5 but I'll probably buy Astrobot for it anyways, at least there is a decent logical reason to have a PSN login then, unlike on PC, and stick it to Nintendo just a little more.

Imagine letting a corporation live rent free in your head and idolizing the worst of the big three console makers lmao

I will buy astrobot when it hits PC because I'm not buying a PS5 for it even if it does have some nice callbacks to awesome games like ape escape
