the higher the rank of the skill, the more likely the slot is given a yakumo skill
it's always 30%? i thought the skill rank affected it?
That's a 1 in 30 chance for four different things to hit, then the odds that all four them them hit at the same time. Math's not my strong suit, but I know those odds count as astronomical.
I don't think this is entirely accurate. The chances of the skills being applied are on capture for any blank slots the pal has remaining, not on spawn as you've written.
I always send out my Yakumo after I launch the sphere and it's been working fine that way
Some notes on how that works
Passives are added on top of the ones that are spawned naturally
Some passives do not pass, such as Lucky, Legend and any of the Pal specific ones
If the Yakumo has more than one passive, every single one has their own % check. Statistically it's best to go for one passive at a time, though two is a very good idea if the Pal you want is easy to find in the wild since you still can obtain Pals with one of the two passives on top of a fair chance to obtain one with the two of them
