Palworld could have used a net launcher or throwing capture cards with "I ♥ Sony" on them, and it would still be violating Nintendo's overly vague patent.
That's what everyone's upset about, that Nintendo has very broad patents that by all rights should never have been issued, that are illegal even in Japanese law.
"An object that interacts with a creature."
Meaning even CoD and Halo violate that patent, with using frag grenades.
I know, but so many seem to think it's a copyright suit.
So it needed to be clarified that designs (and spheres) were not part of the lawsuit, but rather patents (which typical involve computer code).
(Admittedly, if after this they did add "We ♥ Sony" to the Spheres, that'd be hilarious! The ultimate middle finger to Nintendo)
I mean, Sony is (last I heard) planning on porting Palworld for the PS5 so it would fit as a version exclusive cosmetic thing
Well that, and Sony have apparently joined up with PocketPair to create a company for Palworld... similar to how Nintendo, Creatures, and Game Freak created The Pokemon Company.
Sony plans to work with them on things like merchandise, an anime, and so on.
Oh Hell Yeah!
I'm oblivious, who's being a troll?
