Pals can't use stairs
Has anyone encountered the problem that the firemen can't move up the stairs? They just won't go to the next floor. I've already cleared the entrance to the stairs, and the exit from it, and adjusted the ceiling height, but nothing helps.

Did you stack your stairs to a height of 3 and a width of 2? Did you leave the ceiling over the stairs open?

Now the stairs is stacked to a height of 4 and a width of 2, and I leaved ceiling over the stairs open. I keep trying different combinations, but so far all without success.

That should be enough; no idea, sometimes the pathing is weird. I noticed that pals really hate to make 180° when on route to a new task when they have also to use stairs - heck, a lot of times they work stations from the ground magically, sometimes they don't.

Of course, I suffered but I found a way that helped me, although what exactly helped who knows. I built a staircase as a metal foundation (roof) + wall + stairs and so on as many times as necessary. During testing, it turned out that the pals refuse to go along the stairs if it rests on the wall, but if you remove it, they pass freely. Although I tried this combination in another place and the wall did not cause problems, so it becomes clear that everything is situational. Since you can’t build a high stairs without a wall, I tried to replace it with a wall and window. And the pals began to move freely in all directions along the stairs. By the way, most of the pals, except for the very largest ones, move freely along a stairs 1 wide. This is not all, but I tried too many things. As a result, I build a stairs as a foundation (roof) + a wall and window + a stairs, provide support for the next floor and demolish the roof and the wall and window, which are built under the stairs. If this does not help, then I rebuild the stairs step by step.

Pathfinding for multi-level bases is weird in Palworld. On one hand, you can make a gigantic 5+ level base and pals actually will navigate it... On the other hand, they don't do it consistently and sometimes it can be hard to figure what is causing them to bug out.

I've noticed that in cases where pals just "freeze" and don't move at all, you can sometimes fix that by building a second staircase somewhere and all the pals will suddenly unfreeze for some reason. Even if they were using the first staircase just fine before, this seems to work.
