Edit: If a stone pit is closer than an ore pit, it will default to the shortest path to the primary task, which would be stone in your case.
for example: my main base uses anubis as haulers but my base has natural stone mines and infinite stone mine, they usually mine the natural stone mine, then haul then finally mine the infinite stone mine
i think it could be a case of pal not having enough levels to mine the copper which is at least mining lv 2? im not too sure until op replies what pal were they using.
It could be anything at this point lol that last patch did alot of damage to pathing. Come to think about it, my Anubis was doing the same thing. I wanted him on coal and he just ran over to stone. My solution: Complete overkill! 3 Anubis on every node. No more problems
When in doubt? Breed more Anubis.
