However pals for fighting and pals for base purposes are a different story. I think their size being something you need to consider when planning encounters or base layouts poses a challenge one should adapt to themselves and not the game.
Considering it isn't impossible for pals to do tasks anymore when they are stuck it doesn't seem like that big of a deal after all. If you don't want them to waste time being stuck before they just forcibly do the task where they are standing you gotta improve your layout. Make a different layer on top of your base for bigger pals perhaps that also have their own feeding and sleeping stations.
Howether it isn't a bad idea in my eyes to have options for that stuff. A shrink option, noclip while in base work mode, etc.. Just saying you should exhaust your ingame options and/or view it as just a part of the game you gotta take into account rather than waiting for an update that gives you an appropiate tool for your issue.
