I'm sorry, Pocketpair are currently facing a lawsuit against nintendo. This is also not a live service game and as such updates will be slow but good sized.

It's likely not 1.0, but that just means they have even more to add to the game, and more refining.
They already have teased that the new island is going to be even bigger than Sakurajima was.
Allow me to enlighten you. A full release is also known as version 1.0 and since we are currently on version 0.3.10 don't expect the game to jump to version 1.0 with the next update. My expectation is we will jump to version 0.4 so still only about half way there.
Release was 0.1.2
Bellanoir was 0.2.0.6
Sakurajima was 0.3.1
They will call it 1.0 when they feel satisfied with the state of the game and that will more likely than not happen before an eventual 0.9.
Version numbers are mostly an internal tool.
Honestly I think they weren't working with the idea of selling millions upon millions of copies upon release in the coming launch weeks. It might just be that they want to get a bunch of things into 1.0 they didn't plan for when they released the game to early access because they were worried about running out of money before they could, which certainly isn't the case anymore.
So perhaps the initial 60% guesstimation might be more like 50% or 40% now considering the new possibilities the massive success of early access opened up to them. Just speculation because we don't have official statements regarding this matter.
