But, yours is more upfront about it.
I've never played Terraria, myself. Isn't it like a land-based, medieval version of Starbound?
(...Actually, I think Starbound came later. So, it's a space version of Terraria?)
I'm personally more intrigued by the statement of big updates coming in the future.
It is about time for the next big thing, so that intrigues me.
it a hamburger or hot-dog situation ending up having the same condiments.
like the ketchup, mustard combo of picking and placing block to make a build. but you add say'd ketchup and mustard in a different way's or even different brand's for say'd hamburger and hot-dog.
even in there own modding space this logic is at play.
back on topic. for tho's who do play terraria it a W for them for sure.
Eh, as a Terraria player I am apathetic. But that's my general stance on these type of crossovers. But I also have zero hours in Palworld so far. Just downloading it now to play, so no I am not some lurker troll. :)
I'm in the same boat, I LOVE Terraria and I LOVE Palworld, but crossovers have always been pretty meh to me other than seeing cool devs interact with each other. Feels good :)
It came long before, and also not quite 'medieval' rather 'Fantasy-Adventure' as you gain access to electricity by mid-game and there's a lot of 'technology' based items by late-game (You get a laser pistol at mid-game if you make it out of meteorite). It's a single world with a big adventure, I recommend it 2000% if you haven't tried it yet. Some of the best QOL I've seen in any game.
Good Guy Greg of devs
They are definitely similar. The biggest difference between the two games is that rather than hopping between planets, Terraria has you exploring one very large map instead. It's kinda like if you took all the different biomes in Starbound and turned them into one giant mega-planet.
Terraria is one of my favorite games and one I've played the most. It's just one of the best sandbox games ever. There is an absolutely insane amount of stuff to find and lots of crazy bosses to fight with whatever you find. The game's biggest strength can also be it's biggest weakness though: the game provides almost no direction at all besides vague hints provided via text.
How open the game is can be overwhelming but the game leverages this to make you feel like a true explorer and provide a genuine sense of discovery. There really are no restrictions on where you can go, but going places without being properly prepared can go poorly.
