Settings question Pal Damage setting
Damage From Pals Multiplier affects how much damage Pals deal. The higher value you set, the more damage they will deal. The default value is set to 1. So, you can lower it to receive less damage or increase it to make Pals stronger.
Damage To Pals Multiplier determines how much damage you deal to Pals. The higher the value you set, the more HP each attack takes. Setting the maximum value will make opponents almost defenseless.
--- Ok, But what about Human NPCs? Does this setting affect them? There are gangs of humans fighting pals in the wild. If I lower the Damage values. WIll this means the human NPCs will slaughter the pals before I get a chance to try and catch them?

Pretty sure this setting just affects the player and the pals you have captured. Not wild NPCs, which I think as far as the game is concerned, are just a different type of pal.

I've got a single player game with very easy settings. You do have to be careful you don't kill the pals fighting NPCs, but it seems about the same in a game I play on a server (probably not defaults, but not as easy I think). I'm able to capture the pals just fine if I am careful when I attack the NPCs to not hit the pal.

I don't know for sure, but it seems to work just fine.
No, humans NPCs are not effected. IF you up Pal damage it will make both wild pals, and your pals deal more damage. There is no settings that will effect the damage given or received off say syndicate thugs. You can tweak the damage your player character gives and receives. And you can tweak the damage that pals (both wild and your own) they do and receive. But nothing effects the human NPCs directly.
Though, human NPCs are basically an after thought as long as they are not way above your lvl. If you are near their lvl and have decent gear, they are basically a non factor. Literally just a speed bump to slow you down a bit. (that does not count Black Marketeers, or PIDF soldiers, they are more of a threat, but they don't come at you unless you come at them or get caught on the sanctuaries or attack other NPCs in a town)
Seems to be only for you and your pals, also for other players online (i think)

Looking for certain Pals to capture in the wild, Noted Said Pals fighting Human NPCs. Human NPCs killing the Pals I'm after. Annoying. Raising Pal damage resistance so wild Human NPCs get killed off instead of wild Pals was the thought. If Setting affected both wild Pals, & Wild human NPCs, It would make said thought pointless.

You have to out smart them. Use a weapon that you can aim precisely. I have a Beakon with decently accurate air cannon attack. I use that. Draw the NPCs away from the pal or kill them. Then go in after they are gone and capture the pal. That is how I do it. I have pretty easy settings, Don't know exactly what they are though, I'm on a private server and don't know the owner.

In that case, yes, I can confirm if you up pal damage, they will wreck the NPCs If you set it to five, they will wreck everything.
Dmg x5, Dmg taken .2, That leaves pals stronger than Human NPCs. Set own dmg to x5, & .2. And now the Human NPCs are not OP. going to test the oil rig, & see if it can be solod with pals now. Oil Rig human NPCs are stupid strong.
