Increasing number of bases

So someone alerted me to increasing the number of bases with the use of a slider and I found it but it warns doing so will impact the game. I am on the xbox series X, mind you.

How significant is this impact? If I raise the limit to 5, is my life ruined? Is everything Joever?

Or is that one of those warnings they slap on even though it's only a 0.000001% impact just to cover all their legal bases?

In my experiences the thing that caused the most performance issues was "max number of dropped items in the world", eventually there'd perpetually be 3000 things lying around eating performance. It seems like ranch items combine on touch now which helps that a lot though.
