game starts to lag after a few minutes playing for no reason
when I open the game regardless of resolution or graphics quality I can play it at 60fps or closer to it
it plays smoothly for a while but after a few minutes whenever I move the camera it starts to lag gradually and it slowly gets intense overtime that at some point it feels like I'm playing at 10fps and I don't even have to do anything, even if I start the game and just leave my character standing still for like 5 or 10 minutes the fps already drops drastically when I move the camera
I already tried installing mods that could help with lag but nothing works, I play heavier games than this and I have no fps issues at all

my desktop:
RAM - 32GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x16GB dual channel but AFAIK I'm not doing any overclock)
GPU - GTX 1650 Super 4GB
CPU - Ryzen 5 3400G with radeon vega graphics
MB - PRIME A320M-K/BR (AM4)
STORAGE - Normal 1TB HD (with an yet to be used 650GB SSD)

games that I play:
- payday 3 (50~60 fps on low or medium graphics)
- crime boss (50~60 fps on medium or high graphics)
- days gone (50~60 fps on ultra graphics except it's in default render scale)
- minecraft (50~60 fps on medium or high graphics with shader mods)

note: my PC never got formatted in over 2 years since I bought it but I already got myself an SSD and I plan to format it soon so I hope that a clean windows install can fix most stuff related to performance, yet if there's any help to deal with lag in palworld rn I'd apreciate it

How far along in the game are you? How many bases to you have? How many pals at each base?

The more you progress and grow, the more strain it take to load the world. It may or may not have anything to do with any of that. But if you have say 7 bases with 50 pals each, that's likely your problem.

no difference
I was over 1 in game year on my main save, but the new updates were causing the game to crash on it so I thought it was corrupted and deleted it to start a new save fresh (maybe the mods had also something to do with it)... even so my game would still lag and again I didn't had to do literally anything for that to happen, just standing still for a few minutes would cause the game to start laging whenever I moved the camera
I just finished formating my pc and I'm rn installing everything back so once I have some time to play I'll check if a clean windows install fixed it

I am convinced that formating my pc fixed it
by the time I posted this comment I left my game running for 30 minutes in ultra graphics while I downloaded other 2 games and had over 10 browser tabs open, no fps drops

Mine lags whenever it autosaves, so I set it to autosave every 10 minutes instead of every 30 seconds

Good to know, hope it helps others in the future.
It seems to be related to GPU becoming untolerably hot. I had a similar issue, got worse the less cooling the PC had.

Formatting can solve a lot of problems that are difficult to find. Many programs even after being uninstalled leave files behind that might affect your PCs operation. That is likely what fixed it, you removed something that was causing a problem.

Be very careful what you add back in. If you are running mods, there are some that plain out do not work. Some that will cause serious problems like crashes.

Be nice once the game is more stable and we get actual mod support for this game. Once we have that, running mods will no longer be the high risk thing that it is right now.

I love mods. I will install more than the 2 I have right now once the time is right.
