Game is alive and well. It literally just had an update a few days ago.
And even if it's "dead", you can still play it.
The number of other players will only effect this game's official servers which, due to the flimsy anti-cheat or lack there off, were always the weakest part of the game.
Lets imagine for a minute that the worst semi-realistic scenario comes to pass tomorrow. Pocketpal shuts down and no further content is released. Official servers get closed.
So now players just have to host their own servers instead or play solo. In other words, nothing has really changed. The game is just as playable as it was yesterday.
I hope this helps you to understand why concurrent player count is a useless metric when it comes to non-live service games.
The only thing fewer active players means is that people have beaten the game and moved on. You know the normal thing that happens when you reach the end of a game. The way games always worked before the advent of the plague we now know as "live service".
So once again PLEASE stop applying the idea of 'death' to non-live service games.
Thats what i heard is this true?
It's a matter of perception. The game had millions of active players for the first, two months after it released. That slowed to hundreds of thousands. Now it's down to tens of thousands and has stayed that way. There's still plenty of people playing if multiplayer is a must have for you.
Personally, I don't get why it matters, though. I find the game super fun playing all by myself. I mean, who needs other players when you have Pals to help you out? :P
Nah, he's likely just one of those Pokemon fanatics that are obsessed with seeing this game die.
This game makes Nintendo's electric rat look more pathetic than it's own stats do.
Palworld: "Hey, Pokemon! You know what the difference is between me and you? (long dramatic pause) I make this look good!"
Especially when said game is only at v0.34, meaning it still has quite a ways to go with adding even more content.
Point nr 2: Be salty because you got no friends
Point nr 3: Waste people time online so you can feel better about yourself.
In short. I think any internet forum should have 18+ age restriction.
