Best Mining and Lumber pal?

With the Sakurajima update not sure who to use

[Toy Box Heroes]

Currently the best mining pals in the game are Blazamut, Astegon, and Blazamut Ryu. So aside from Blazamut Ryu, two pals from the original roster are still the best for mining.

Best lumbering goes to Bushi, Bushi Noct, Wumpo, Wumpo Botan, and Prixter. So three pals from the base roster are still good and then you have two new ones that are also excellent choices.

Best miner is the turtle driller, this has been tested there was a topic about this stuff in reddit at one point.
The drilling speed is so much faster when it comes to mining, especially if you upgrade the turtle.
Sorry seriously, ive not played in a while and I never remember the drill turtle's name :D

You're both wrong. Using HUGE Pals in your base is grossly impractical.
Anubis is best miner... especially with the Nocturnal skill.


... Actually how are we even defining "best" here? I'm just going with Anubis because it is the right size and mines FAST when fully upgraded. Plus it is a top tier transporter as well so it can clean up after itself.

But then if you're talking about doing weird stuff like taking a Pal around in your party for mining random spots.... then... um.... why would you do that? But that one would probably be the Digtoise... sure.

Funnily enough Paladius and Necromus are good miners AND loggers, but it is a bit of a waste to leave them to such menial tasks.

I’m pretty sure that your point is only in regards to Digtoise's partner skill based on what you've posted.

As far as work suitability level goes, without condensing, Astegon, Blazamut, and Blazamut Ryu are better than Digtoise for mining at a base.

Lvl 4 mining versus Lvl 3, it’s simple math.

I was assuming the OP meant for base work and level of work suitability.

Digtoise is good in your party as a miner. After you have crafted the Digtoise Headpiece his partner skill for mining is very good.

However, Digtoise is not the best base pal for mining. As a base pal, the partner skill has no effect on mining.

Bushi (warrior in japanese) and Bushido(the code of conduct to the samurai) has a lot of meanings that's why I'm happy that Pocket pair is japanese, the naming is cleverly designed and if you see the pals you start to understand there was a reference.

there isn't no best pal all are same same skills same gathering everything same and they do same things workspeed is an illusion to trick u that they farm faster but they dont :)

To be fair, there is the factor of when certain Pals are available.
Anubis may be awesome... once you can have one.
Until then, Digtoise is likely the best. But I'm sure there are far better ones after a time.

And yeah, those levels make all the difference.
My regular Lv 1 kindling Pals did okay at first.
But once I bred a Gobfin Ignis (Lv 3 kindling), it blew them all out of the water.

I'm assuming the OP is really far into the game, thus they really would want the best.

From what I read, at your base you count their proficiency level, so an Anubis is better than a Digtoise, but at the field Digtoise is the best miner (and c'mon, who carries a Digtoise just for mine outside?).

Progression should be:

Mining:
Cattiva > Tombat > Digtoise > Anubis

Lumbering:
Tanzee/Lifmunk > Eikthyrdeer (spits) > Bushi > Wumpo Botan
