Should i start new game or continue old one for the update?

So when i played before i got 100% of the pals (even bosses from old funny glitch) which sadly had no achievement. Would it be better to start new for the update? Idk if i want to re go through a lot of it again. Also how big of a expansion is it?

While the new island have a level cap, the new challenge is the oil rig and the new boss and both are endgame, not to mention the rematch fights against old bosses, you're not losing anything by start on your old game account, only the new dog coins and meteor events, but the new Pal only spawns at Sakurajima island so you're better start a new base there on your old file anyways.

They kinda fixed a lot of old glitches, so no more cheesing the Jet Dragon,they also unnecessarily increased the level of all legends by 5.

It's not huge, but it's big enough to feel new and varied with new pals, a new tower boss and some other new world bosses besides.

They increased the max number of bases to 4.
